The new exterior lighting for Trinity Church, 2015. |
We recently had the opportunity to work with Trinity Church in Newport to do just that! In conjunction with Haynes/DeBoer Architecture + Preservation we were asked to maintain the church's existing look while making the exterior lighting more energy efficient. We were able to quickly utilize scaffolding that had already been constructed for other repairs to replace the existing lighting system with new LED flood and accent lights. We also had a minimal impact on the building structure because we were able to reuse the old mounting locations for the new lights! This was especially important as the church is an iconic historical landmark in Newport. The church was originally constructed in 1726, and while it is still a working Episcopal parish, the church is open to the public for historical tours.
